Genius Steps Down: What will become of Apple?

The internet is a buzz over Steve Jobs resignation. When genius steps down, the world is effected in many ways. As was said in Tech Republic's article, "5 ways Apple will never be the same without Jobs as CEO", Jobs turned the tide on Microsoft in the past 10 years. What will become of this switch? 

Jobs brought a level of competition to the marketplace that is crucial to the advancement of the IT industry as a whole.  Only time will tell if Jobs passed enough vision on to Apple to sustain its hard gained place in the IT market.  

On a personal note, I sincerely hope Mr. Jobs ailing body finds res bit from the chaos and thank you for a job well done sir.
